There are times when you will need to travel, whether for business or recreational purposes. During this time you may need your yacht or some other type of vessel transported from one destination to the other. If this is the case you may want to solicit the services of a yacht delivery service. A Yacht Delivery service delivers all sized sailing and motor vessels on the water under their own power. They can be privately owned, commercial or charter vessels.

When soliciting the services of a yacht delivery service there are some things to consider. When inquiring about yacht delivery make sure that the operator holds the proper qualifications in order to operate your vessel. Most operators have a USCG Licensed Masters or are United States Coast Guard Licensed Captains with many years of sailing experience. Many Yacht delivery services deliver to almost any port of call, however they may make some ports of call more than others. Many yacht delivery services delivery all sized sailing or motor vehicles on the water, they can be privately owned or commercial.

Inquire about whether the yacht delivery service that you choose is insured properly although you will need to be insured as well. The cost for this type of service can vary based on the length of the passage and the type of vessel that will be transported. Other factors that affect the cost of this service would be the time of year, the weather, and various types of crew requirements. Owners are encouraged to join the crew and travel with their vessel. This can give the owner a chance to become part of the crew, provide the owner with valuable insight about their vessel. This will also give the owner time to improve his or her abilities, gaining confidence and experience.

i have chartered from many other places all over the world but this time i want to try a new one when i go to central america. but i would definately want to avoid TMM from now on. TMM wasnt so professional and made me feel i wasted my money on a boat that wasnt repaired and retarded and lazy workers/owners. i was really disappointed. i would charter from any other company as long as it is not TMM san pedro.

you can contact the following yacht charter companies
